The Short Version: Some of the links on this site earn me a commission. It never costs you a penny extra, and it has never once changed a verdict. Here is the long version, with nothing left out.
You are never obliged to use my links. If you'd rather not, go direct to the brand. I would still rather you bought the right piece of kit through someone else's link than not getting something that may help you.
The One-Line Disclosure
Garagebiohacker contains affiliate links. If you buy something through one of them, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. That commission funds the next round of gear I test. It does not buy a positive review, a ranking, or a mention.

Amazon prices and availability shown on this site are accurate as of the date and time they were captured and are subject to change. Any price displayed on an Amazon page at the time of purchase is the one that applies.
In addition to Amazon, we also partner with other biohacking brands and affiliate networks under similar terms. This disclosure applies to all links on this website, in our email newsletter, and across all our social media channels.
// 02 What It Costs You: Nothing
This is the part people get wrong, so it's worth being blunt about it. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not out of your pocket. You pay exactly the same price whether you click a link here, type the URL in yourself, or find the product some other way.
In a fair number of cases you actually pay less, because a lot of these brands hand affiliates a discount code as part of the deal. When that happens I pass the code straight to you rather than sitting on it.
// 03 Tracking (Cookies) & Funding
How Cookies Work
When you click an affiliate link, a small file (a "cookie") is placed on your browser. This simply tells the retailer that you came from Garage Biohacker so they can credit the commission. It does not give me access to your personal info. Read our Privacy Policy for more.
Where the Money Goes
Right now, 100% of the money earned through affiliate commissions is used to buy more biohacking gear to test, fund website maintenance, or improve the quality of the content we create in the lab.
// 04 Free Products & Review Units
As the site grows, brands have started sending review units and loaners. My policy hasn't changed: whether I bought it myself or a brand sent it, the standards are identical. No free product buys a good review.
- Full Disclosure: Every free or loaned unit is disclosed in the review itself, not buried on this page.
- Brands Know The Rules: Every brand is told upfront that accepting a unit guarantees a thorough evaluation and nothing else.
- Loaners Go Back: Where a unit is a loan rather than a gift, it is returned when testing ends.
- Failures Are Rejected: If a product fails my safety checks or shows no real-world utility, I send it back and publish nothing.
// 05 How I Label Links
A disclosure page nobody reads is worthless. So the labelling happens where the decision happens: next to the link, at the top of the article, on the page you're actually on.

| "Gifted unit" or "Loaner" | The brand supplied the product free of charge or on loan. Stated inside the review, usually right at the top. |
| "Bought with my own money" | We paid for the unit ourselves. Still the default for most of the lab. |
| Discount code | Usually an affiliate code. It gets you a lower price and pays me a commission at the same time. |
| No badge at all | No commercial relationship. Links to studies, competitors, or brands I've criticized. |
// 06 Coupon Codes & Discounts
The coupons and discounts pages work on exactly the same basis. Codes listed there are typically affiliate codes: they lower your price and pay me a percentage. A few are public codes that pay me nothing, and I list those too, because the point is that you get the discount.
- Prices, discounts, and stock levels shown here are indicative. The retailer's checkout is the only price that counts.
- A brand appearing on a coupon page is not automatically a recommendation. True recommendations live on the Garage Stack page.
// 07 Help Us Stay Accurate
I build this site for the community, and getting it right matters. If you ever spot a missing disclosure, an outdated price, or a claim that doesn't quite hold up to the current science, I want to hear about it. Corrections get made and noted on the page where necessary.
