// Medical Disclaimer & Assumption of Risk

Last Updated: September 11, 2026

The Short Version: I am a self-experimenter, not a doctor. Everything published on Garage Biohacker is an n=1 case study based on my own biology and experiences. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and you should never use it to diagnose, treat, or cure a health condition.

Before plugging yourself into a device, starting a new supplement, or changing your biology, you should talk to a qualified medical professional.

// 01 Not Medical Advice

The content provided on Garagebiohacker.com—including all text, graphics, images, reviews, data, and biometric logs—is for informational and educational purposes only.

I am an independent researcher and biohacking enthusiast. I do not hold a medical degree, I am not a registered dietician, and I am not a licensed healthcare provider. The information provided here is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on this website.

// 02 The "n=1" Philosophy

Biology is Highly Individual

Biohacking is inherently personal. When I publish data showing that a specific red light panel improved my deep sleep, or a certain protocol increased my HRV, that is an n=1 (case study of one) result. Your biology, genetics, baseline health, and lifestyle are different from mine.

A device or protocol that is safe and effective for me could be entirely ineffective—or potentially harmful—for you. You cannot assume my biological responses will predict yours.

// 03 Devices, Supplements & The FDA

Biohacking Devices

Many of the technologies tested in the garage (such as photobiomodulation, PEMF, electrical muscle stimulation, and cold immersion) are experimental. While some devices are cleared by the FDA for specific uses, many are not. Using these devices off-label or for general wellness is done entirely at your own risk.

Supplements & Nutrition

Statements regarding dietary supplements, nootropics, and nutritional protocols have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or equivalent regulatory bodies. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

// 04 Assumption of Risk

By using this website, you agree that you are fully responsible for your own health and wellness decisions. You acknowledge that engaging in biohacking protocols, using health optimization devices, or taking new supplements carries inherent risks.

Garage Biohacker, its founder, authors, and affiliates will not be held liable or responsible for any injuries, adverse reactions, or damages—direct or indirect—resulting from your use of the information, devices, or protocols discussed on this site.

⚠️ Medical Emergencies

If you think you may have a medical emergency, immediately call your doctor, go to an emergency department, or call emergency services (like 911 in the US or 999 in the UK). Garage Biohacker does not recommend or endorse any specific tests, physicians, procedures, opinions, or other information that may be mentioned on the site in an emergency context.
